Happy Birthday Mama

My Mom is an amazing woman. She is a nurturer, she's compassionate, non-judgemental and so caring. She's my best friend and I just adore her. It was her birthday yesterday so I wanted to dedicate this blog entry to her.

I usually like to make her a pretty elaborate birthday card, but this time I didn't. But I really love these colors in this card. Of course green is my favorite color.

Look how cute she was in her graduation picture. She's still a hottie today too.

"Happy Birthday Mama!!"

New Blog Banner

I am so excited about my new blog banner that Trudi from "Two Dresses Studio" designed for me. She did an amazing job for such a reasonable price. If any of you are in need of a new banner, go see her at her Etsy site. She listened to everything I suggested and/or wanted and made it all possible. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I'm excited because now I can get matching business cards.

I'd love to hear what you think?

Inchie Diva's

Inchies have become so popular over this last year and into the new year. Anything small and tiny for that matter is very popular. We can't seem to get enough of making the small art pieces. I decided to make this piece using the Alpha Stamps "Shakespeare's Heroines ABCs" collage sheet. Leslie over at AlphaStamps also has some awesome collage sheets with British Queens that would make for a really cool project.

At any rate, the collage sheet I used for this project that I mentioned above, comes in black and white or sepia. I got it in black and white. That allowed me to color in the different heroines as I saw fit and then embellish them with some diamond dots by Stampendous. I used a little wooden piece that I had gotten from Club Scrap that had eight compartments. (However, you could also make something similar with foamcore.) I used some very graphic 7Gypsies scrapbooking paper for the background behind the heroine's and I just continued to turn the wooden piece into a type of house. I finished it by gluing it to a very small photo easel. I thought it turned out pretty cute, what do you think?

These were three tags I made for Leslie at AlphaStamps awhile back using her great collage sheets. (Check out her website if you haven't already. She has wonderful collage sheets, stamps, charms and supplies.)
I actually gave these tags kind of a funny twist. If you click on them to make them bigger you will see what I printed on the computer to make them a bit humorous.
This was a submission I made for Stampers Sampler incorporating inchies into the piece. I was happy with how it turned out and I really liked the bright green's since that's my favorite color.
